Our November 2008 Roaster’s Blend is now available. It is a well- balanced light roast coffee that was quite a hit with our staff.

All 1 lb coffee bags and 5oz teas are now available in optional Holiday Gift Packs. Each coffee gift box contains a 1 pound bag of coffee, a bag of chocolate covered espresso beans, and a ceramic coffee mug. The tea boxes include a 5oz bag of tea, a box of t-sacs, and a mug. Simply select the “gift box” option at each 1lb coffee listing on our website. Tea boxes can be selected on all of our normal tea listings.

As we speed into the Holiday 2008 season, we have rolled out a gift section on our website suggesting popular gift ideas.

Organic Fair Trade Ethiopian Yirgacheffe. This has always been one of our most popular Organic/Fair Trade coffees. We also have a dark roast variety.

Our Smoked Coffee has been a huge success, and we are getting great feedback from everyone who has tried it. Due to this positive response, we are making this unique bean a permanent addition to our lineup.

Remember that our August flavors and Roasters Blend will be available until the end of Labor Day weekend.

On that note, remember that we will be closed Monday, September 1 for Labor Day. All orders placed over the long weekend will begin shipping on Tuesday, September 2.

After months of blending & testing, we are finally rolling out our new SMOKED COFFEE beans. It’s exactly what the name says: we take a special blend and get it smoked at a real smokehouse. It’s also available in 1lb bags.

The August Roaster’s Blend is now available through the end of the month. This month’s special flavors are Buleberry and Hawaiian Hazelnut. All are available in Decaf.

Coffee Bean Direct is proud to offer a new bean unlike anything else: Smoked Coffee! This coffee contains no liquid flavoring- it is 100% flavored in an actual smokehouse.

We have spent many months developing this special bean. After countless test batches, we have finally found the perfect blend and roast to be used for smoking. It took us even longer to discover the best smoke method, time, and wood type to use with this bean.

Once we roast this custom blend, the coffee is taken to a local (and nationally regarded) smokehouse to have the beans slow-smoked. We bag and ship the finished smoked beans from our roasting facility.

The resulting coffee is pretty much unlike any we have ever tasted, or produced. The smoky flavor is subtle from the first sip, and comes out in a big way in the aftertaste. It is smooth enough to be taken black, but strong enough for milk and sugar.

A new month arrives, which could only mean new coffees from Coffee Bean Direct! Our March 2008 Roaster’s Blend and Flavors will be discontinued at the end of the week.

The April 2008 Roasters Blend takes South American beans of different roast levels and blends them to make an overall balanced cup. The new Flavors for April include Spring Breeze and Cinnamon Cloud. As always, our flavors come in Decaf as well.
